Robust IoT investments leave atangled web of non-transparency
Access to increasingly powerful mobile and other Internet-connected devices, intuitive and immersive applications, and robust networks have significantly changed the way people work. And even one dropped connection or poorly performing application per shift can translate into almost $20,000 in annual support and productivity loss costs per mobile worker, according to a new study by VDC Research.
As part of the research, VDC fielded a global survey of 400 enterprise mobility decision makers spanning multiple industries. The study found that even though workers are relying on mobile devices and apps more than ever, many are not leveraging enterprise mobility management (EMM) systems to their fullest potential.
