MCU portfolio touts embedded security for IoT
The Renesas Advanced (RA) family of 32-bit Arm Cortex-M microcontrollers offers security, connectivity, and peripheral IP for intelligent embedded designs.
Devices within the RA lineup give engineers a wide choice of features and packages to develop Internet of Things endpoint and edge devices for industrial and building automation, metering, healthcare, and home appliance applications.
Strong embedded security is enabled by secure crypto engine (SCE) IP, plus an extra layer of embedded hardware security providing tamper detection and resistance to side-channel attacks, all built on Arm’s v8-M TrustZone. Easing the design process is the company’s Flexible Software Package (FSP), which supplies production-ready peripheral drivers, Amazon FreeRTOS, and middleware stacks to take advantage of the FSP ecosystem.
