The Internet of Things (IoT), robotics, artificial intelligence, and the bio-economy are among the key technologies to take centre stage at the show.
“Thailand spends only 0.7% of its 16 trillion baht GDP on R&D, but we aim to increase that percentage gradually, building the foundation for innovation,” said Pathom Sawanpanyalert, deputy director-general of the Science and Technology Ministry, at the expo at Bitec.
Being held from July 4-8, the event showcases 470 research projects from 15 agencies under the ministry to encourage business matching and sales opportunities.
