Cops in hazmat suits look for Novichok traces at Salisbury toilet block

A DAY after a Novichok victim was released from hospital, police are searching a toilet block in Salisbury where he and his partner are believed to have visited before falling ill.

Police in hazmat suits were spotted at Queen Elizabeth Gardens in Salisbury searching a toilet block and park bench for traces of the deadly nerve agent Novichok.

“This is believed to be one of the areas where Charlie Rowley and Dawn Sturgess visited before they fell ill,” Sky News reported. “The forensic intensification at this scene will probably continue throughout the day.”
