Amazon is offering permanent roles to 70% of pandemic hires (so here’s how to get hired there now)
Many industries and businesses were forced to shut down during the coronavirus pandemic due to social distancing measures, and many that weren’t shut down simply saw decrease demand for their goods and services. On the flip side, other businesses were forced to ramp up due to increases demand.
Amazon was one of those business, and the company brought on 175,000 workers during the pandemic so far in order to meet demands of people across the country. The organization is offering permanent roles to 70% of those new U.S. workers, Reuters reported on May 28.
