First Transcontinental Emergency Calling Interoperability Plugtest Announced
The National Emergency Number Association (NENA) announced that its ninth Industry Collaboration Event (ICE 9) will be combined with the European Telecommunications Standards Institute’s (ETSI) and European Emergency Number Association’s (EENA) fourth next-generation 1-1-2 (NG 1-1-2) PlugTest. NENA called the event the first transcontinental interoperability testing event for next-generation NG 9-1-1 (NG 9-1-1) and NG 1-1-2 emergency calling.
