The IoT industry has long presented great potential to bring smart devices, and the intelligent analytics and automation that come with it, to markets such as industrial and manufacturing environments. Yet Octonion’s founders noticed a huge gap in the marketplace between device skills and cloud skills, which has been hindering IoT adoption. For example, the developers who integrated connectivity didn’t design devices, and the engineers who created the devices didn’t typically have the expertise to facilitate connectivity.
