Get more meaningful data back from your IoT devices, and pay less for it
The internet of things depends on data. It seems like something that needn’t be said any longer, but it bears repeating as it’s one of the biggest barriers to IoT use cases heading to scale deployment. The things sense and act, the cloud stores and computes, and the intelligence applies insight and logic to drive action.
We’ve had machine-to-machine communications for a long time, and much of the prevailing mindset of IoT in the early going has been a SCADA-type mentality of command and control from the central system, with plenty of data in round-trips related to the server controlling and the client obeying.
