Iridium CEO Matt Desch Previews Upcoming Launch of Iridium-AWS IoT Services – GovCon Wire
TYSONS CORNER, VA, August 15, 2019 – , CEO at Iridium Communications (Nasdaq: IRDM), has confirmed that Iridium and Amazon Web Services’ (Nasdaq: AMZN) combined satellite-cloud services will be operational by the end of September, ExecutiveBiz reported Aug. 1.
According to a Capacity article published July 29, Iridium’s 66 NEXT satellites, which provide coverage for the Earth’s entire surface area, will work to make internet of things capabilities available to an estimated 80 percent of areas without access to cellular networks with the help of AWS IoT facilities.
