Raynergy to see gains from OPV solutions for IoT sensors

Taiwan-based Raynergy Tek has seen conversion efficiency of its organic photovoltaic (OPV) solutions advance to 17%, expecting significant gains from IoT sensor applications, according to company chief technology officer YM Chang.

Chang said the power conversion rate of single component OPV is expected to reach over 20% in the near future, running close to that of crystalline silicon solar cells. He added that many makers in France, Germany, Japan and Korea have entered volume production of OPV modules.
